How To Order A Commission Art Piece
It's easy and it's fun. Talk direct with Welzie about what your looking for, or an idea you've been thinking of, no matter how off beat it may seem. Welzie is always up for another creative project. Lets get started. It's easier than you think.

From here we will outline what you are looking for so it is tailored to you and your home or office. Once we understand what you want, we can proceed with a quote that includes:
- Custom art piece
- Frame
- Shipping
We require a 50% deposit to start you order.
Step 2: Transformation Begins
Welzie will begin the process of creating your custom, one of a kind art piece. Preliminary sketches will be sent for your approval. This is a good time to add or remove anything. Next the background colors are painted and an image sent to make sure you love it. Finally, the illustration and colors are combined layer by layer until we have your completed work of art. At this point we will send a final photo for approval, it will then be glossed and polished to completion.
step 3: Ship it! I love it!
Your piece is mounted and framed we will send a photo of your finished piece for approval. Once the final payment is made we will package your new piece safely for shipments all over the world. We love seeing photos of commissioned pieces in their collector’s homes.
PAST COMMISSIONS
This collector liked a piece Welzie did years ago and wanted to create something new from the past idea. We made a few changes during the process to make sure it came out just what they had envisioned.
A local North Shore family who loves swimming at Waimea Bay with the kids. We added a couple palm trees and flowers to balance and brighten the piece.
Fun, fun, fun! This commission piece brought the day of the Dead theme to this Ohana. Welzie used the each family member’s nickname to create a truly unique piece. The Dad’s nickname is Beatlejuice, The daughters, Birdy and Poppy. The son’s nickname is Bear and the mom doesn’t have a nickname but she loves to knit! Too much fun!.
Commission pieces available on surfboards. This piece was really fun incorporating the family’s pets and the kids’ personalities.
This Snorkel Girl was inspired by an existing original, but the piece had black hair and the snorkeler was not throwing a happy shaka up in the air. Simple additions and color changes can really personalize a piece.
One of Welzie’s favorite commissions. The collector liked the Mololo fish but had the idea of a Mahi Mahi going after the school. Welzie played around with a few drawings before finally getting it right. When the collector was shown the piece for final approval he asked if the Mahi could have a fish in the mouth. It was such a great addition to the piece that made everyone smile. The outcome of a great collaboration.
